I am already planning my next tank, and I am not even finished with my current project - DAMMIT!

I am looking at a 5-6 gallon, maybe a corner or another eclipse type tank (although I may do the Fluval Edge if I decide to put it in my bedroom.

I am more interested in the species types that could live in a 5-6 gallon.
I am really only looking at 1 (2 would be nice too) puffer(s) and maybe a shrimp or two. Even if it's just one puff, I think I would still do that alone.

I am not interested in brackish, but it's not totally out of the question.
I like the leopard puffer (I understand they need 20g+ a piece) and the figure 8 puffer, but beyond those two, I need suggestions.

Any help is appreciated as I am finding little info online regarding tanks under 10g and puffers. The little I do read shows me that I may not be WAY off in my assumption that there are puffers out there that will be fine in a 5-6g.

Thanks in advance
(pics if you have a <10g puff tank would be great)

A single dwarf puffer is all you can keep in there.

^ 2nd what PP said... unfortunately with such little water, your only going to get away with a single dwarf puffer...

...and there's nothing wrong with that!

Single is fine for me, less dominance issues, unless he has multiple personality.

Any shrimp by chance? I am leaning towards that fluval edge tank at this stage.

I've heard cherry shrimp might be safe, although IDK why they aren't eaten.

^ when i used to keep dwarfs they would eat the cherry red shrimp in the tank with them... so i guess its luck of the draw if they will or will not eat their tank mates...

I've got 2 DP's and a large banjo cat in a 5g and it's been paradise for all in there. Lots of plants, and sand for denitrification, lots of live food, weekly water changes and all is well.

I was hoping on the cherry shrimp.
When I get further along, I will have to check out their size, food, space requirements.
Thanks
