I had a "nano" in college, a 10 gallon with a few corals and inverts...what a pain. Talk about patience...it's really hard to prevent spikes and rapid water degradation in a small system like that. You'll nuke the tank a few times if you aren't on the ball. I spent more time on that 10 gallon than my other tanks combined (at that time about 100+ gallons). They are great to have sitting at your desk late night when you are working on something though...just nice to have...small, neat...colorful. REALLY good sense of ownership and accomplishment to get them running right. Good luck! My tank was an el-cheapo from walmart...<20 bucks I think. I did it as an "intro" into SW, great experience. Great challenge. I have a 29 at home that's empty that I'd like to get back up and running SW style with a frogfish one of these days...but I swore I'd never do another SW until I had a permanent place of residence.
