I have a ten gallon tank and I'm thinking about starting a nano reef in it. I think an aqua clear filter will work for what I need, along with a full spectrum light. I figure ill probably use ten or fifteen pounds of live rock on top of a bed of live sand, with some anemones and coral eventually. I would like to have a clownfish, and maybe one more fish as well as some cleaner shrimp or something. I would like to have more fish than that but I know thats a bad idea in such a small tank, even one clown fish is pushing it...Any suggestions? I might be able to get a twenty gallon tank in a month or two but Im not sure and I dont want to go too much bigger than that...Im pretty limited on budget so buying a new tank and stand and all that is pretty much out of the question at the moment...which is why im interested in doing a nano reef.

some people will tell you clowns need a pair and a 30 gallon tank..

I think a single male is fine in a 10...

but it doesn take away alot of your stocking options.. maybe like a yellow watchman and a pitsol shrimp... and any cleaners or other inverts

thanks, i might actually just splurge and get a 20 gallon tank, if i can afford it that is. I really like the yellow watchmen, theyre pretty cool.
