So I've had fish only salt tanks before, but they always been larger. I'm looking to set up a small nano reef tank probably 10-20 gallons. I've neen doing alot of research into live rock and live sand filtering. I've read that with adequate flow and live rock you do not need a filter. Anyone had any experience with this? I would still use a powerhead or wave maker. And am considering an in tank proton skimmer hidden by the rocks. Will this be enough? Any thoughts?
