Nano Tank Shrimp questions?

I saw an inspiring thread and plan on starting a .5 to 1.5 gallon nano planted aquarium in about a month. I was wondering what kind of shrimp could live in something like. and how to breed them. (ill feed em to my baby dats if they overflow)

I have a handful of RCS and snails in a 1.5 myself, just recently put them in there, if you find any resources or writeups on this please post them

Really any of the dwarf species. You won't have alot of room for the population to really increase as feeders for your baby dats. General stocking rule of thumb is 10-15 shrimp per 1g of tank space. I would plant it and let it mature before adding shrimp. As for what species wouuld work best, that really depends on your source water. Do you have a ph and hardness reading?
