Just a quick question about Nanochromis and Apistogramma. Which one of the two is a more interactive genra of fish.

Tbh don't know anything about Nanochromis but I have a pair of Apistogramma and they are only interactive when guarding fry.

I was hearing that a lot about Apistos but I know very little about how Nanochromis behave and interact towards humans.

I've only kept Nanochromis while working at the pet store thus far, but they seemed more skittish than their Pelvicachromis relatives.

I heard that about them but I am limited to a 20 gallon so I dont think I can fit a pair of Pelvicachromis.

You can do a pair of the roloffi or subocellatus or silviae or taeniatus or kribensis (not actual kribs, which are pulcher). The roloffi, silviae and subocellatus are both quite a bit smaller than normal kribs. The taeniatus and kribensis are a little smaller and more mellow, a local breeder breeds them in 15 gallon tanks which is the same footprint as your 20 gallon.

The taeniatus and the kribensis are both gorgeous fish definitely taken into consideration.
