I am thinking about purchasing a new light fixture for my nano cube, actually an entire redue of the lighting because currently I have only a 24w 50/50 blue/white bulb in my 12g tank. I have mushrooms doing fine, but would like to keep some coral in my tank.
I'm looking at upgrading the hood to the the 12g DX light lid with 2 24w with the ballast.
Before I spend the money I'd figure I would ask you guys first. http://www.jbjnanocubes.com/index1.html This is what I am looking at $180 shipped, but is there an easier way to gut the lighting and keep the lid? Or upgrade to even more powerful lights like 3 24w lights?:naughty:
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks, and Merry Christmas!
I did see you can get a glass top and have whatever lighting you want, but I would like to keep the lights in the lid. (just do an overhaul.)

Well if you already have a nanocube, then why not...?
I have one of the 6 gal nanos and the lighting is more than adequate for certain types of coral. I have zoas, palys, leathers, acropora, candy canes, trumpets, kenya trees, gsp and a small baby torch all thriving in my tank.

That is before the acropora.

Yea but your running a 6 gallon with the same lights I have in a 12. Your running 4watts be gallon and I'm running 2. I am looking to upgrade to where to you are with 2 24watt bulbs.(4watts per-gallon.)
