During the early morning hours of July 3 (EDT), the Deep Impact spacecraft will deploy a 1-meter-wide (39-inch-wide) impactor into the path of the comet, which is about half the size of Manhattan Island, N.Y.

We have a 1 mile long, 1/2 mile wide orbit crossing meteor due in 38 years that is being given a 1 in 40 chance of hitting Earth, last year they gave the same rock a 1in 2000 chance of impact, It would cause a crater 20+miles across and a 100+mile total kill zone, Stick around.
