Last night when I was watching my 125 marine tank. I noticed one of my Nassarius Snail and a dwarf hermit right near each other. The hermit hopped out of his shell to attack the snail and I assume eat him. To his surprise the snail turned the table and grabbed him. Within fifteen seconds of the attack a second snail popped up out of the sand like a submarine coming to the surface. Over the course of a few more hours they devoured the hermit. I was unable to find anything on google of something similar happening to other people. The only thing I was able to find was hermits eating snails not the other way around. Have any of you ever heard or experienced this. It was really strange to see it happen in front of my eyes.

sounds pretty cool! make a video next time!

sounds like your hermit was trying to switch shells but found a occupied one and died either from a bad molt or something else.
