Small town near Toronto
The ever lasting 30g strikes again. BTW, some plans I got recently tell me that my last plan is bad on appearance, no mid-levelers.....
So what about one Pumpkinseed, they live nearby, and possibly a rock bass (thought those little guys were small mouth for 7 years now..... lol) or some other natives/goldies/weather loaches. the only thing is, there are hardly any native fish stores in Toronto, with the exception of live fish for sale as food:irked:.
so anything I can somehow buy or catch in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) that I can put in a betta bowl. On the topic of morals, would you rather live in your house with 3 other people, or in the middle of the Indian jungle. That is how a prey would see things. Just about anything that eats a smaller fish in the GTA eats pumpkinseeds:ROFL:.

So... who's biting???

Go to a local bait store and ask for contaminates. Sometimes you get stickle backs, mudminnows, ect. I had a planted 20L with central mudminnows and dace minnows, looked great.

Lots of choices if you want to keep reasonably sized fish, redfin pickerel, dwarf sunfish, pygmy sunfish, darters, madtoms, sculpins, chubs, shiners, silversides, what strikes your fancy is what you should keep.

I would avoid a red fin. They avg 12-14", and can hit 16+.

what about this:
1-2 pumpkinseeds and or rock bass(es) (cause thats all I can really catch around Toronto.)
4 mudminnows from a local bait shop.
Could I do It?

Really. Although I must admit most of us see about 6"-8" in tanks. My last one was a tank busting 10.5" upon her untimely death.

What about this:
1-2 Pumpkinseed/rock bass
2-3 tadpole madtoms
