Hello,

I was wondering I anybody on here has bred natives?

I imagine a few have tried some sunnies like bluegill and pumpkinseeds, but has anybody bred bass or muskies?

Id love to hear your experience.

Me too !! ive kept a lot of different species but never had any breed for me. If there are any guys from NANFA here, im sure they could help us both out. :)

I've sat and watched sunfish and bluegill breed while fishing. They use pits in the sand in the shallows when the water hits over 70. Pretty cool to watch.

I'll bet you could breed them in a 2 ft deep pool with sand and driftwood in it.

Ive never bred Bass or Muskies......You would need a large tank (over 250g) for the Bass and one over 400g for the Musky; you would then need to gradually raise temps and increase the amount of time u have light from a winter photo period to a spring amount, it would be different for the Musky and Bass.
