In the caiman den
Went on a native collecting trip. Water was very high so i couldnt search my favorite area. So no sculpin  or crays. Oh well. Found a few nice pools that were just off from the main stream.
Collected 2 plants as well as 2 species of fish. I need IDs on both fish and both plants plz. You dont have to worry about the small fish too much, the sculpin started smashing them the instant they got in his tank. That thing is a true monster. Also spotted a beautiful snake:headbang2 Also can anyone id the beautiful red flower? Only spot i found them....

The large fish, I found a nice school of them. I found a piebald specimen:WHOA: but unfortunatly was not able to get it:cry: He snuck out of the side pools that i was able to search.

the small one is a small trout and should have thus been released as illegal to keep at that size (Don't keep if you don't know what it is!). the bigger one is some large species of dace or other minnow species.

Yes, the trout should be released. The other fish is some type of dace, not sure which one as there are several.
No idea about the snake, perhaps a water snake?
Could the plant be a pitcher plant? They grow in wet areas.

ok so i should have returnd the trout to the drying up pool that it got traped in from the flood. ok

sadly i believe they all(maybe 1 is alive) are eatten. My sculpin is a ]V[onster!

as for the trout most states don't have a min. size on trout but a max for your limit...alot you need a stamp and you can't net them...nice finds
