Hey Everybody,
Well this is interesting...
My cousin who is a fish tank fanatic like yourself and most of us on the forums. Long story short he caught a Bergal today. If curious what it is, it looks somewhat like a wrasse. If you go fishing for porgys or seabass in new york you have came across this fish. He brought it home after catching it on a mussel (The bergal is about 5 inches) he has it in a quarantine tank until it starts to eat. Just would like to know from people who catch these fish and people who have harvested wild fish and place them into thier tanks on what they eat and best way to accumulate them to tank life.
I was thier when this happened lol, hooked it in the mouth (best spot) aerated the livewell...
All in all this is day 2 of it being in the quarentine tank, it is active and more alert then yesterday of it's first introduction.
We just tried a silverside an nothing looked at it and swam away, tomorrow we will be purchasing live ghost shrimp and at the bait shop we will be getting clams and sandworms.
Thanks Everybody from any input!
