Native Tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
As long as you keep the water warm and mimic june's weather, you should get a spawn once they are nice and comfy. But I had mine for a year until they started to spawn. They did every 2-3 months for 4 times until I had a crack at the bottom of the tank and all the water leaked out, leaving two lovley fish dead and dried up. :(

I had no interest in any more greenies, as these 2 were enough so I left the fry in there. They'd get to about an inch till the parents decided to spawn again and would eat the remainders.

Alright, thanks for the tips! And sorry for your loss with the two Greens.

Adding sand to the tank tomorrow. I added some to the 60-Gallon, and its turning out really nice.
I'll get some pics of the Native Tank with sand when its finished.
Its going to look good with sand

i had a native tank once with pumpkin seed, a sunny, 2 perch, a chain pickeral, and a tiny catfish. the pumpkin seed and sunny were the most aggressive out of them. just a precaution
