Awesome fish, but I don't think most trout are native.

there are tons of native trout, brookies in the east, if you know where to look, rainbows, cutthroat, and in some places browns(non native, but breeding populations do occur) and golden trout in the west.(USA), but in europe, browns , there are more, but cant think of them off the top of my head.

very nice

You're right, there are tons of trout native to North America but there are many who have been spread outside of their native range. rainbow trout don't naturally occur naturally in the East and brooks don't naturally uccur in the West yet both are found there. The stocking of non-native trout across the country has brought about serious problems, even aiding in the extiniction or near extinction of some subspecies.
Nice brooks though, I don't think I have ever caught a wild spawned brook trout before. I have caught wild spawned browns and they are lovely (despite their being non-native) and though rainbows spawn in the wild around here I have never in my life caught one on hook and line.

Were did you catch them ??? not bad ... :D

I caught Lake Trout in Lake Michigan IN, Golden trout & Rainbow Trout in CA, Brook Trout in Wisconsin, Cutthroat Trout in Nevada, & Brown Trout in Ireland.

Ya ive caught natvie trout in creeks less than 2 feet wide in the poccano moutains in pa you really have to hike to get to them.

Onetime while i was backpacking in the Sierra Nevada's i caught a Golden Trout in a creek that was probably 2 feet deep, and 1 foot wide.
