Ok so I have 2 Oscars an arowana and a plec all kinda small at the moment... But I go fishin quite a bit and I kinda like the look of the perch and blue gill n stuff so I was thinkin when my fish get bigger.... Could I toss one or two of someth in like th at in there? My only concern is that the wild fish will be lile Hella aggresive cause its used to like survival of the fittest type stuff.... Idk not to worried bout the arowana but I jus dnt want the wild one to be an a hole whe. I put him in there

I would try maybe a small BlueGill when they get bigger... Just make sure to QT em!

Depends on the size of the tank...also, perch prefer water much cooler than the 80*+ your tank is probably at, and bluegill tend to do poorly when kept for long periods of time at those temps. Aside from that, you will also very likely have aggression issues.

Choose your bluegill species carefully. I'd go green sunfish if possible. There not as aggressive as other fish such as the longear sunfish.

Bluegill IS the species...I think you mean choose your sunfish species carefully....

And pretty much any one who's kept them will tell you that green sunfish are the MOST aggressive species...

Ya I mean eventually I plan on feedimg my wrowana the smaller crappie n stuff I get alomg the banks once he gets bigger as a treat.. But I figure if they can live together thats cool too lol.... But its a 220 gallon tank n I have 4 fosh.... Yes 4 monster fish(once they grow) but I think with enough filtration... Which j will have soon... I could put a few smaller th ings in there to fill the gapes u know... I thought bout cichlids but last time I had those the y were a bunch of ass holes that didnt grow as big as j thought they would so I said f em... Other suggestions as fas as space fillers?

You could bring in some pathogens and later disease to the tank. I would \NOT do it. Keep natives by themselvesw and tropical by themselves.

Ok. Well I've kept many sunfish and green sunfish was my most peaceful. Pumpkin seed and longear were my most agressive. My 6" longear
Bullied(ish) my 13" LMB, both bullied
My 8" green sunfish. I had move
My green to my grow out
Tank with had a 4" Lima, a 5" channel cat, 3" jack Dempsey, 2" firemouth and a couple other small stuff. Everything did fine for about three months because I managed to sell my green sunfish.

If you want to fill in the gaps get some cichlids. theyre related to sunfish anyway. get some severums, theyre peaceful but can hold their own. brightly coloured and too large to become a snack.
