My parents are making me down size and I had to get rid of my 30 gallon native tank, which up unilt a week a go I was planning on upgrading to a 55. Now I have a green terror, pike CICHLID, a bullhead, and a bluegill in my 35 gallon. Which in a month will be a 75 gallon, but when that happens my parents are making me get rid of my 35 gallon. What should I do? Might it work? Should I beg for letting me keep the 35 gallon? Should I start selling off fish? I would like to keep the fish if at all possible.

Thanks
Mike

i don't see a problem other then temperature, which they should all acclimate too. Thats not to say you shouldn't beg to keep the 35 anyway lol.

I have tried native and non-native combos before and they never seem to work all that well. Try a full native set-up. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

I have seen a few native/non-native setups work and have done a few myself. Still though, you will be presented with overstocking problems in the future with all those fish in a 75g and I'm not so such the combo would work. Bullheads will eat just about any fish they can fit in their mouth, the bluegill may become aggresive towards the cichlids or vise versa. Bullheads, depending on the species reach 12-20". Bluegill 10-12". The pike cichlid...depends on the species. The green terror between 8-10".

I don't see why you couldn't mix them. people mix african and south american fish all the time. if they can stand the same temperature, they should work......atleast i hope, so i can get a grass pickerel, some bichir and a menezesi.
