natural polypterus location in wild?

Himaybe somebody can help me out here. where do the polypterus live naturally where can one go fishing to catch these fish what parts of the world are they from?

Check the sticky....Polypterus Primer....and they're from Africa you're not going to find some in a New Jersey Pond....You can find snakehead though, those are for eating

yeah africa is where you'll find these guys.

if you go to mongabay.com they have a lot of fish species listed where you can click the name and it takes you to a page that has a list of every river and lake they are found in. It even separates by subspecies and in some cases has pictures of the fish in their natural environment. Pretty cool site and polypterus is one of their listed species.
