Hey guys, I just picked up a new Exo Terra tank (i believe 18x18x24). I want to make it into a naturalistic vivarium and put frogs in it. I was really looking into getting 2 red eye tree frogs. I was just wondering if there are any other species of tree frog or frog than can live with a red eye. I really like the Amazon Milk Frogs and the Suriname Clown Tree Frog. Can either of the 3 species mentioned live together?

If you are going to try mixing species you want to do it with animals that do not occupi the same territory or are not active during the same time periods. So mixing tree frogs with tree frogs is not the best choice.
You MIGHT be able to get away with a day gecko and red eye tree frogs but the best match would be to have terrestrial species (or aquatic if you have water in the bottom)

Mixing species of amphibians is generally frowned upon by 'the hobby' at large. I do believe that some intelligent mixing can take place, but it takes a lot of time to select the right species and to create the rright environment...

Using a larger environment allows for creating more micro environments within the enclosure which decreases risks. I'm putting together a 36" x 18" @ 25" vivarium and am also looking for multiple species or amphibians and/or reptiles to keep togehter. Thus far I have not had much luck finding species tht could coexist.

Best of luck and I'll be watching this thread to see what advice you get.
