I have a spring and year wound koi pond up the mountain, would the parrot do well there or die? It snows like 6-10 ft but the spring doesn't freeze, the koi and giant goldfish are always there...unless anyone wants it???

It would probably die. But maybe not...there;s really no way to know, only to guess. It is a hybrid of two cichlids from warm waters though.
I wonder what it would it cost to ship it's grumpy butt to me. I'll pay for it if it's not too expensive. If you are interested. I can see if it fits in with my three BP's.
PM me if you like.
Although, in your best interests, have you tried to return it for credit at your LFS?

What is the year round temp of the water? Is it one of those warm water springs? If so it may work.

In a nutshell, brrrrrrrrrrr freezing cold, summer's are hot but winters are cruel here.;)

nice # of posts (666) I had 69 posts and was a convict on here when I first started!! It's snowy cold sub zero in the winter, I was shocked that fish live there year round. One person seemed intertested, but he never responded on the other thread, hatcherboy? know him? well anyway the parrot has a better tude now, If he keeps on nailling me he might go back, but after he and my aro settled this (no mayhem) just lots of banging and sand poofing, musta been a great chase. I will try to keep him I just couldn't really enjoy being attacked. Sh&^*#^% that's worse than swimming in the ocean! So we'll see.
Thanks for replying.

This little fish is a riot. He acts like a man eater. He came at me so I held up a flat piece of marble, he rammed into it and started trying to bite it. How on earth (why is more appropriate) do you enjoy this. I can pet my arowana but now can't reach into the tank!!! It's funny.
