Need 12-18in bottom feeder from SA/CA

exactly what it says, i am trying to do a SA/CA themed tank and need a 12-18in bottom feeder, my silver tips are going bye-bye as it is time for them to start getting used to lots of salty water So what kinds of BFs do you all recommend.

I'd go with a lima shovelnose.

depends on what you are looking for... clean up crew, something to look at, something that is just there, predator. Albino channel cats get to be big. Lima's get to be about 20 inches. There are a lot of options out there.

How about a Tiger Shovelnose,i know they get huge but they are really cool!!

Comes from the amazon basin, *amazing* tank cleaner.. eats all algea, detriment and other fish poo.

With one of them in your tank, it will be spotless.

They are not agressive to other species, however its not "a bottom feeder" so to speak.. it will be all over your tank..

Platystomatichthys sturio or Pimelodus ornatus. Both from SA, look cool, and stay smaller than 18". If you wanted to go a step up I'd recommend Juruense catfish.
