Need a custom acrylic cutter near NYC!

Anybody know a quality cutter of custom acrylic in either NYC or somewhere close by (preferable reachable by public transportation)?

I've got a wooden hood on an enclosure, and I want to replace a panel of it with acrylic so I can see in. It'll have to be an L shape, approximately 4x1x1' in size, and it'll have to have hinges drilled into it.

My plan is to actually screw the panel off the hood and bring it to the acrylic cutter, and tell them to duplicate the shape.

My first thought was Canal plastics, but they say they don't do anything water resistant, even if it doesn't have to hold weight. Also their google reviews are dismal.

Anybody have a recommendation? Thanks!
 
Anybody? Like maybe a custom aquarium builder in the tri-state area that works with acrylic?

So far two companies I've found via google can't do it either because they don't stock water resistant acrylic or other misc reasons.
 
This place I have seen in jersey city does acrylic displays...but they might be able to help? Do search for JC, I think the company name was acrylex or...
