Need a id on this turtle...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It's some species of softshell and it also looks to have some sort of infection on it's shell.

Turtle is eating silversides and blood worms. Very active. Any info on care would be great.. thanks guys for the quick replys

I'm not a reptile/amph keeper but I do know they require a basking area with heat/UVB . I have heard of people feeding them earth worms and snails as the preferred live foods.

Agreed on the Chinese soft shell , it'll eat any fish that fit inside it's mouth and probably end up hanging off the tail of that gar if it doesn't bend it in half first :(
So keep a very very close eye on things in that setup ;)
