My one fader flowerhorn stopped eating and has white stringy poop. Treated him with 2 doses of tetra parasite guard as I was able to get quickly. This am after second dose he looks worse. Not really moving much and colors are washed out. What should my next step be. Clear? Really want to try to save this guy.

Thanks

Thanks. Usually I catch it early and feed Epsom salt soaked pellets and I can get it to clear up. Seems like it really came on quick for this guy and he was already spitting them out when I caught it.

Never fun to have a sick fish. I've been there...force feeding them. It'll be a hit or miss. Best to try anything than nothing.

Yep. Tried it once before with not so good results but will try again I guess. Just really like this guy. Was raised from fry from a former pair I had.

Seeing any improvement? Your male fader was half of the reason I got back into keeping FH. Great looking fish

Second day of Clear. Not getting worse and seems a little better.

Thanks.

Over the last several years Ive used clear to treat and save multiple flower horns. Make sure you give him 5 treatments before you try to feed him regular food. 50% Water Changes Daily making sure you suck out any white poop your filter doesn't pick up. On the sixth day I start feeding them using bloodworm. Hope it works out for you.

Looking even better this am. Swimming around and color coming back.
