I have a 45 gallon pentagonal tank that I have been maintaining but not restocking for a long time. The main fish in the tank is a male koi veil angelfish and other than a few fish that stay at the bottom the tank is fairly empty. I would like to add one more angelfish to the tank but I am not sure whether or not it is a good idea since I can't be sure whether or not I will get a male or female. Would it be a problem if I ended up getting another male? I know this seems like a stupid question but for some reason I am having a problem finding a straightforward answer online. Some people say they will definitely fight, some people say to get a handfull of angelfish and let them pair off, some people say they will be fine in any combination.

They will definitely fight to figure out the hierarchy. It would be best to get a group & let a pair form. You could also buy a known female...lots of folks breed angels. You could ask on Craigs List or even better, the marketplace of this forum.

You can also try Aquabid, angelsplus.com, or angelfishusa.com. Buying locally will be your best bet though...I'd have a hard time justifying shipping costs for one angel.
