I just bought a 210g tank that came with a 60g glass sump. Everything was disconnected when we moved it and I need some help with a few things to get it up and running.
I connected the U-tube to the overflow box and the overflow to the hose. It also came with a filter sock. I put that on top of the first chamber of the sump. As you can see in the picture below, there's a small 2nd chamber behind where the filter sock is. This is where you put filter sponges right? Or do you put some other media there? I put in leftover AC sponges for now.
In the larger 3rd chamber in the pic above, can I put in 1 pack of carbon and bioballs?
There's a small glass divider right below the center brace in the next picture. It came out when I moved out and had been glued there. What kind of glue do I need to use to put it back? Or maybe I don't even need that small divider?
The last chamber I plan to fill up all with scrubbies and bioballs. My question is: where do I put the return pump? He gave me a Rio submersible pump but do I put that right underneath the bio media?
Thanks for your help. I've never used a sump before and need all the help I can get.
