So here is my issue... My 4" Albino Oscar has become very aggressive over the past couple of weeks. It looks like he might even be stressing out some of his tankmates. I expected this behavior when I picked the Oscar up, but not quite to this extent. I have been thinking about getting another cichlid to give him something to offset his aggressiveness. I have been looking into getting a 2-3" green terror, but I am looking for suggestions.

Tank info:

120 Gallon, 48X24X24/ 2 FX 5's / Parameters: Ammonia-0.0 Nitrite-0.0 Nitrate-10
Fish:
8" Silver Arowana
6" Common Pleco
2x 4" 4 line pictus
5" Delhezi

This tank is not permanent. I'll be upgrading as soon as the silver gets too large. For now he's enjoying this wide version 120.

Thanks for all of the great info. I don't post very often, but I do a lot of reading.

Is it showing more agression to the aro? At that size aro's dont do very well at defending themselves so the oscar may just bully it till the aro gets some bulk. Maybe consider some plants or rock structures to help him establish a territory if you havent already.

He hasn't really messed with the aro yet. Once here and there, but the aro gives him a quick bite and he backs off. I think I will try re-arranging the plants and driftwood. I've read some other posts where that was recommended.

Well, thats good that it's leaving the aro alone. I'd try to rearrange, and if that doesnt work add some more hiding spots.
