well, ive decided to keep my 56 gallon tank going after all, and my marineland heater has failed me, can anyone suggest to me a heater that has been well known to take the tides of time efficiently?

most appreciated

If I were to buy a new heater, it would be a fluval E or vuetech or whatever its called, because it would make it very obvious if it failed.
It has a little LCD that displays the temperature and turns green or red, and flashes if the temperature is too far out of range.

dont think my LFS will have that one. any other heaters i should look for?

Ebo Jager, I heard a lot of good things about them lasting a long time. I got mine used about 3.5 years ago and it is still working really good.

rena smart heater little pricy but if it can handle salt water for a year and red belly prparhanas hitting it for 3 than it shuld hold up for many more and they are really eficint for heating cause they can hook to a powerhead ir filter. they also flash slow or fast to let ya know if the water has gone above or below your desierd themp by i belive 2 degraese
