So I lost my 19" silver aro last night for reasons unknown. This afternoon, I'm noticing aggression levels of some of my cichlids starting to rise. One of the neat things about my silver that I loved is he refused to eat fish. Live, dead, it didn't really matter to him. He didn't want it. This allowed me to house him with a few smaller fish. Now that he is gone, I am on the lookout for something big, not too expensive, not too predacious, and not a pushover. Do you guys have any ideas? The tank is an 80"x30"x24" 250 gallon. Current stock:
1 7" BGK
1 6" oxydoras niger
1 6" paratilapia bleekeri
1 5" electric blue acara
2 4" angels
1 6" bay snook
1 4" temensis
3 3" greent terrors
2 2" geophagus winemelleri

Between the tem and acara my snook is getting pushed around quite a bit. The power struggle is pretty interesting to watch. I'm not too concerned about the terrors or geos getting eaten, just looking for a new monster to keep everyone in check. Thanks in advance.

I cant do another aro. Not now. And honestly (confession time) I'm active duty and I know I will be moving in November. I don't want to get too attached to anything new. More of a place holder. I get attached to aro's. I don't want to do it again.

Even if you add a new big fish you will still have some power strugles in the tank as everyone works out there new place in the pecking order. Good luck finding a nnew centerpiece though.

I feel you on that note! I can't imagine if my Pepper (super red Aro) ever dies.:(
