Need a Positive ID on this guy...

I need an expert's opinion of what exactly this is. Since I've had it, I guessed three different species. This is my first crenicichla and they aren't really my thing (can you tell). Had this guy posted for sell but no interests and I think I might want to keep it anyway.

looks alot like my crenicichla sp. "venezuealan".. probably spelled it wrong, but thats my guess

Its a venezuelan. Does its belly ever turn pink, or does it always stay that uniform light grey color?

Nevermind, the pics were slow loading. It looks like a female from those pictures, IMO.
