Okay so I need help... I just bought a 300 gal. True view acrylic tank from a guy who bought it new for a restaurant that never opened. This guy stored this aquarium for over a year and HE LEFT THE PROTECTIVE PAPER ON!:screwy: Now the glue has dried so much I am having SERIOUS problems getting it off... I called a company named "precision plastics" and they recommended 100% pure kerosene to lostin the Glue... To top it off the guy tried to remove it with a shop rag and who knows what else causing slight scuff marks on one side.... so my question is has anyone had this problem and if so what would you recommend to remove the glue?

Then any buffing compounds and tips would be appreciated as well...

well its not comming off I have been wiping it for over a week with karosene so i guess its time for an sos pad and razor blade....

i peeled off most of the outer paper by using steam from a iron. that left only the sicky stuff and i got that off by using goo gone and a razor. It will scratch your tank, for sure. So you can try to wet sand it with 400 or 600 grit and work your way up from there.

+!, best way to go right here.
