I have always used Solarmax lights on my aquariums having only really been into aquariums for the past couple of years. My biggest aquarium to date is just over 60 gallons but as with many of you, bigger is better and so I am going up.
So I need a lighting solution and Solarmax seems to only go up to 48 inches wide. I need lighting that goes to 60 inches wide.
Now a couple of things to consider. I do not need something massively expensive. I am only doing freshwater with minimal plants. So I do not need high intensity lights so I do not need something that is going to cost hundreds. My tank will only be 18 inches high with me preferring front to back depth over height.
I also loved the blue LED look I get with the Solarmax. That night glow is gorgeous. I am in the UK so ideally UK supply is great because shipping from the US costs more than the lights it appears at times.
Lastly, I do not want really high wattage because the electricity usage in my place is already nuts. What would you guys suggest I do? I just wish Solarmax did a 60 inch light and I would be sorted. Maybe another company does the similar lights or even better? Any help is much appreciated.
