I'm starting to think i may have a pair, but i'm not sure. My two Monos seem to be inseperable lately. I know my bigger guy is definitly a male (starting to get a hump). But i'm not sure if the other is female or not...they are both about 12" to 13" now, and are from the same batch of fish. They look completley different from each other. I know they are probably still not mature enough to breed, but i was hoping you guys could help me out on distinguishing wether or not my other is a female. I have not, nor do i even know how to vent Cichla so hopefully someone can tell from these pics! Thanks guys! Any, and all advice is much appriciated.

You must be exited for sure....To me a little it looks like you have a dominate and a lesser male there because the other is so faded Might be a good idea to vent the faded one....
