Need Advice How To Stop Breeding Dovii

Hello, I have a male Jag and a female Dovii sharing a tank. They get along great 90% of the time. Occaassionly the male Jag will get aggressive and chase my female Dovii around the tank. Notice his tube is dropped now when doing this.

Is there anything I can do to try prevent these fish from going into breeding mode? I have no desire to breed and just prefer for them to coexist in peace. Water temp? Diet?

If they can, they will. Your best bet would be to separate them. If you can’t do that maybe get a smaller fish to eat the eggs or fry, I doubt any fish will last long though.

You could keep the tanks in the low 70's theres reports of dovii in waters that are as cold as the high 60's-
