I never had a BGK was going to get one today but I was told that they can send out a current that can zap a fish, I wanted to put them in a tank with 5 African Arowanas but decided against it, the Africans are hard enough to keep a live without worrying about getting zapped

Bgk don't "zapped" fishes; they have a very weak (and i mean very weak) electrical pulses that helps them in finding food, looking for thier surroundings.

Don't believe that mumbo jumbo, they are not like electric eels nor electric catfishes.

whoever told you that bgk can zap other fishes is an idiot. something cool you can do with bgk's and other weak electric current edmitting fishes is put 2 bare wires at oppisite ends of the tank, connect them up to an amplifier, then the amp to a speaker and you can hear them.

Thanks friends for the advice, think I'll take my chances on a smaller one this was about 6".

That's good. Also remember that they grow pretty slow and give it a lot of hiding spots.
