Hey all....I have a 50 gallon tank with (5 angels, 8 glowlight tetra's, 4 bloodfin tetra's, and 1 bristlenose pleco) I would like to add at least 3 to 5 cory's. 1st question can I add that many? (Please keep in mind I am probably taking the bloodfin's back to the store) 2nd question is what kind of corydoras should I get for that tank? It's fairly heavily planted and has rock deco for hiding places.

I have 3 in my 55g and they are cool. They just stay on the bottom most of the time and hang out. I have two brown ones that are kinda ugly. The other one is white with black circle forget the name i think raphel or something but he looks great.

What's the temperature there? Some cories don't like warm temp while others do. You can try 10 cories if you like. A lot of them are not that big and take too much space and bioload. I like Corydoras sterbai and Corydoras panda although the latter is more sensitive in my experience.

you can put a good amount in your tank. as they are bottom feeders and stay at the bottom so they have it all to themselve. as for what kind, based on your setup. you can pretty much get any kind you desire. but you should atleast get 6 or more. they like to be in groups and school. very nice clean up crew.

I would get at least five of the same kind. They'll be fine in there. In fact, I would get five of one kind, and then five of another kind if your filters can handle it.
They are a schooling fish and tend to only school with their own species, they will swim and bask in formation fer ya.

wow really guys??? so getting 6 of them will be just fine huh? awesome...yea I feel I need them because flake and tiny pellets get to the bottom and non of my fish care to go through the substrate to find food.

Most cory species stay the same size and have same behaviors. You just have to go to the pet store and choose the type you like( guess that's the toughest part:ROFL:). Do make sure you get them plenty of food though(sinking pellets are the best), most of the time they don't get enough in a community tank.

Mine LOVE algae wafers, normally four or five corries will swarm one and try to eat it at the same time while the khuli's all look on like "hey, man...could I?". They are pretty good for them, not sure as a staple diet though.
