hi everyone igot 5 festae about 1.5 to 2 inchs growing in a 75 i saw some salvini about 2inchs bought them a wwek ago now they have babies (didnt know they could breed that small) i want to put a jag in with them there going in a 125 am i asking for trouble or can i put one of each or should put a pr of festae in there

If it was me I would put just a pair of festae in the 125g they look amazing in breeding dress and then you dont have to worry about aggression with other fish. I recon the jag will outgrow the festae fast it might become an issue i've kept both and jags grow alot faster. Festae can hold there own though thats for sure.

you have to remeber a breeding pair of cichlids is like hell on earth when protecting there fry. dont go with the jag i have one right now thats super aggresive and it would be a constant war zone in that tank even if it was a 180 i dont thank that would be big enough for them

also remember it depends on the individual, some jags are passive and others aggressive..if you're willing to take a chance that you'll get a mild jag and everything would work out, I'd say go ahead, jags are amazing fish!

thank tou guys advise will be well taken do you think the pr of salvini would make it with a pr of festae for a while
You would do better to keep the Festae and Salvini in the 125 as they growout. Since the Salvini are already sexually mature and breeding, they could be hard on the smaller Festae in a 75. Festae are very tough cichlids but at their size a breeding pair of Salvini could be too much. Once they grow up though, the Festae will be more than a match for an overly assertive pair of Salvini.
