This is my first tank. Okay so I setup my tank its 125 gallons. I have a Aquatop AF-400 and a CF-500 for filtration extra bio media added. I want to add these fish all at the same time.
Texas Ciclid
Salvini ciclid
Electric J dempsey
Jack dempsey
Black convict
Green terror
Red star flowerhorn
Electric Blue Acara
Albino oscar
I am Nervous due to my high PH and I really dont want to mess with it. I live in Utah the water is pretty hard. Out of the faucet its 7.4-7.8 in my tank my ph is 8.2 I believe its increased due to the air stones and extra oxygen. I have manzanita drift wood and mostly slate and dragon stone for rocks. I really dont want to change the type of fish I know african ciclids would love this water. Do you guys think they will adapt to this ph and be fine? Or do I need to lower the PH. Im not concerned with breeding I really like these fish. I know I may run into trouble with the flowerhorn fully grown but worst comes to worst I would sell it so it doesn't kill them. I would love any advice to how my setup is and if these fish would be to much of a bioload fully grown. I included a picture of my tank. Any advice is welcome. thanks in advance

Love your aquascaping! I also have harder water as well and that is why I stick with central so I don't have to treat my water constantly. I think the acara and the Oscar and possibly the green terror prefer softer water. Fully grown you may run into some bioload/aggresion issues but buy all as juveniles and pare down from there. Good luck

Thanks man means a lot it's my first tank so I wasn't sure what I could do. Yeah I'm hoping for the best aggression wise my buddies tank worked well with some of the same fish due to them all being put in as juveniles but you never know their personalities.

You're going to end up with dead fish. WAY too much for that size tank. I started off with a similar size stock list, and 125 now has 2 cichlids and 2 catfish.... and they absolutely fill up the tank. Cut way back pick your favorites. It'll seem crazy when you start, but after 6 months the you'll understand the reason :). Love the scaping btw, hate that gravel though haha

I know I did mess up with the gravel picked it out before any aquascaping but it's to late now. Yeah I figured I maybe have to cut back just wasn't sure yet. Thanks for the advice!

I am more nervous of the death race it is going to start off.... at least you might have to drop off the Salvini , EBJD and Acura. ..,, if not any one more too

Well I do expect them to fight I'm not trying to have perfect peaceful tank they are all predator ciclids

I don't think you're going to like seeing them all banged up and stressed out. Stressed fish get sick, open wounds... not to mention constantly healing instead of growing. Occasional live feeding of high quality feeders from a trusted source is the best way to observe some semblance of their predatory nature. Fighting with fish they would never encounter in the wild is not natural. Just some food for thought.

Yeah j get what your saying I definitely don't want that. Do you think 6 fish would be fine?i should have plenty of bio media I don't want them to be crowded and non stop fight

yea the aqua scape is bad *** I like it ,, im not a fish pro like many ppl on the site I still frequently have questions I bring to the forum myself. But I say its your tank go for it, there all aggressive fish & the most aggressive I see on your list is the green terror so it may not be any aggression at all if added together as juveniles. its your tank be happy with it if changes need to be made you can change when the issue arises.
