So I'm planning a breeding rack and need some advice on the sump size.
Question 1: All the tanks together will be 50gallons. Is a 15gallon sump big enough to circulate the water.

Question 2: I will be using to pumps to return the water back into the tanks.1 pump for every shell. How much water will each pump need to circulate per/h. My tanks will drain water into a overflow into my sump.

60 litre sump correct? should work for that.

Well since you are breeding fish and have multiple tanks hooked up, 10x plus turnover should be a good place to start to keep your water pristine :)

what do you plan on breeding?

At this time I'm going to do fancy guppies and black mollies as my lfs said they are willing to buy good quality guppies and mollies from me as she isn't happy with local stock and importation has be come too expensive.

Once I have one breeding rack going I will get another one up and running for bn pleco as they are easy to breed and sell for good prices when available our petshop sells them for R150 each at around 4cm(1.5 inches) long. I can bring them in from another province as they are hard to find here. Then there is Kribensis which s nearly impossible to find in our lfs. I got a pair from another guy on a South African fish forum in Rustenburg. Tried different lfs and no one could get me some. Same lfs thay is willing to buy my guppies and mollies are willing to buy my bn plecos and Kribensis if I can supply to her. I only have one pair of Kribs now since I don't have the space to house more but in time I will get there. I still have another 200l tank I need to have the bottom panel replaced then I can get some more Kribs.

Ah okay. BN are like half the price here, my one teacher had 4 tanks to breed them while in university. Kribs are quite common in the cape, but i'm not willing to start trying to breed cichlids at this point, especially with the little salvini in the 60 litre
