Okay so I'm setting up a 40 Gallon Breeder as a reef tank. I have 50 lbs of Premium Fiji Live rock that I got from a guy who was breaking down his tank. Rock looks great. I have 50 lbs of live sand.
40 - Gallon Breeder
1x150 MH and 2x39W Actinic Blue T5.
50 Lbs Live rock and Sand
AquaC Remora Skimmer w/1200 maxijet
Hydor 260 gph Nano
Hydor 1 400gph
200 watt heater
Pengiun 350 Bio Wheel.
Tank just got done cycling and I was wondering what people think about this setup? If i need to get anything else? Or take anything away? I'd love the advice. I know your not suppose to use a HOB filter but I really don't want to shell out more money on a filter when the live rock should do the job right? Just keep the circulation moving? I'd love all the advice and help I can get. I was into freshwater for 6 years. I have 5 tanks total. 2 salt. 3 fresh as of now. I'm def a novice in salt but read NONSTOP. I'm just trying to get the setup right. I went with the AquaC for ease of use and effectiveness, from what I read that is. Thanks!
