I'm getting a 5" Tig tomorrow never had one before, are they hard to keep that's what I was told, my water conitions are perfect, going in with 5 African Aro's and 3 Black Aro's 1 Silver 220gal tank

I had a rough time with mine. He wouldn't eat and eventually starved himself to death. My water was perfect and I tried a variety of foods but these fish just don't ship well. Many other members have had great sucsess with them, but I would make sure you get it eating before anything IME. Also, these fish like alot of aeration, they come from a part of the amazon that has rapids so alot of powerheads will do it good.

You'll need A LOT of filtration on a tank with that much stocking.
They can definitely be finicky at times, and like lots of water movement.

Filtration, water changes, water movement and the key to keeping tigrinus healthy.

Add some calcium in their diet (fish fillet with bones, shrimp with shell and etc)..
