i have a 150gallon tank.
6'long, 1.5' wide, 2' tall

would 2 Fluval 404's be enough to filter the tank?

if not, what can i use?
i don't much to spend so i'm looking for something affordable
i've been looking on craigslist and finding fluvals a lot

thanks for the help!

might get some of these fish...

-RTGG
-Aro
-Pacu
-P. Bass
-Lima Shovelnose
-Severums

On paper, 2 fluval 404/405 should be fine for a 150 but.....the quantity
of fish u wanna add to the tank and the quantity of H20 changes
will dictate how many more filters u need. U may wanna add a couple
of HOBs to be safe.

I have 2 304s, a emp 400, and a 20g wet/dry on my 125 and I still have to do 33% H20 changes twice weekly or the fishee becomes sluggish.... . :irked:

thanks billylee.

i dont want to put too many fish in it. definitely not all of those.

might get the 2 404's and and a big HOB.

i have a tetratec PF500 i'm not using, maybe i'll throw that on there...
just gotta get some media for it.

so what do you guys think about 2 404's and a PF500??

I also have a 125 in the works, do you think that I should use what he is going for? So far I have 3 O's, 2 common pleco, and 1 Green Texas Cichlid. Anyone have a price range for the filters? I'm also on a pretty tight budget..

yeah thats the whole problem for me...
i dont wanna spend a grand on filtration (which would be easy)

fluvals are a couple hundred or more new i believe.
