Upgrading from 55G to 125G.
I've got 9" male GT, 5" female GT, 7" gold severum, and a 6" chocolate chiclid. I've had them since they were 1.5" juvie except for the female GT. Now they out-grew my tank hence, upgrading to standard 6' 125G.
What would be a great addition to my new 125G tank that wouldn't make much trouble w/ existing fishes I have? I thought about adding pair of JD's, texas, or red shoulder severums (freaggin' hard to find those). Any ideas and thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

OK. Thx. Geo's out. How about Veija Synspilum? If it's ok w/ GT then I might just ad veija in place of JD's and Sev's. Any thoughts guys?

no not at all and i would not add another pair of cichild u could add a severum or JD..

Why wouldn't geos be compatible? Larger geo species are just as sturdy as fish like severums. Some of them are actually pretty aggressive. The only problem I foresee is that geos tend to do best in groups, and you'd be overstocked with your current fish and a group of larger geos. But for future reference, I think something like larger G. altifrons would probably be fine with those tankmates, or even 'Geophagus' brasiliensis or 'Geophagus' sp. Bahia Red. They are more active and aggressive.

It could go either way with severums. Sometimes they tolerate each other when introduced at a larger size, but sometimes two severums in a tank creates a dominant/submissive issue where the stronger fish constantly chases and harasses the weaker one. If you do add another severum, it should probably be of similar size to your current one, and be prepared to relocate it if they cannot work out their differences and get along.

I can't offer much advice on the Central Americans you've asked about because I've never kept many of the larger CAs.

I love gts! Post your male! I wanna see it. My gt is about 8-9 inches to.
I'd say to leave your current setup let your fish have more space! Get a male convict they are awesome and don't get to big.

Rotkeil/Rotkeil's would be sweet...

Have you conisdered any type of Pleco, or maybe even a Flagtail Prochilodus?

I've got couple fancy plecos but they are in their own tank. I've tried Cholocate pleco and Royal pleco w/ GT tank, but they all died. Don't know why... so I'll probably leave pleco's out.
