well im dropping my stand off to my cabinet guy, so i need to set my tank up temporarily. whats the best options? its will be on carpet in my living room. its concrete slab. im i ok to set directly on the floor or is there something else i can set it on?

I agree with kallmond, concrete blocks and 2x4's. Don't set the blocks up on the end, set them on their side with the wholes up. Better stability. Less chance of your tank tipping over. Good Luck.

Is the tank glass or acrylic?

ok dimensions are 60"x30" so how many blocks you think? probably 6.

Personally hotsauce, I would use 6 to be on the safe side. one on each corner, one in the middle on each of the long sides. Then I would place two - 2x4's along each long side of the tank. One in front and one in the back. Have the long side edge of the tank run down the center length of the 2x4's of the 4" width (the flat wide portion of the 2x4). Make sure the 2x4's are centered on you concrete block. I hope this helps with your situation and makes things easier for you.

Respectfully,
