State of chaos
The heat pad on my Leopard Gecko isn't doing its job, it's really only making it warm and the heat is barely penetrating the substrate. I have a heat lamp, but it's in use my my Ribbon Snake. Since Ribbon Snakes are pretty cool tolerant and he hasn't eaten recently, should I just borrow the lamp from the snake until I can buy a new heat pad? Unfortunetaly I don't have enough money to buy a new heat pad, and I can't really borrow, since I already owe my mom $20 (2 week's allowance) to cover half the cost of the Gecko...

Who, the Snake or the Gecko?... lol
The Snake has been without heat before, just so you guys know.

Ribbon snakes are hardier than the gecko. Geckos are used to warmer climates than ribbons. If I were you I would worry about the heat on the gecko tank. But keep in mind that heat becomes very important to both as they try to digest their food. Try going to the hardware store and buying a clip on lamp and get a higher wattage incandescent bulb. It makes for a good cheap heat lamp

Luckily, the Ribbon Snake was fed about a week ago. I also think he might be shedding, so he won't be digesting anything soon.

you can get cheap heat lamps from hardware stores. I would check there when you get some money but in the mean time, stealing the heat lamp from the ribbon snake should be fine.
