Need advice.

highly dependant on the species but in general if you have the right environment for the species you want to breed it will be easy

yes, simulating their natural environment, and encouraging the breeding process by a trigger, such a feeding very well and water changes with cool water. This simulates the rainy seasons where food is abundant, and cooler waters come from the rain. This is when a lot of fish breed.

Depend on species I guess.
I maintain good water quality and feed with high quality foods and have had three breeding pairs and now am waiting on my red claw crayfish to gestate.

But my pairs were/are Jewel Cichlids, Covicts and Green Terrors. All relatively easy to breed in captivity.
Good luck

bit of both . . . for example, I have Port Cichlids that have bred successfully 3x in the last two months . . . but the fry never survive more than a few days

yet when my carpintis and convict crossed, well those little b***ards survived with no trouble at all :irked:
