Hi, I'm curious if I could fit 2 bichir in a 4'x18"x16" tank or anything close, and would it make a difference if I had other fish occupying the middle and top?

With those dimensions you could fit any of the upper jaws except teugelsi, ornate, and weeksii (although weeksii could be in there for a long time unless.... you are for some reason the luckiest person on the earth and can have not only 1 but 2 weeksii grow abnormally fast and large, but hey who has ever done that.....). What kind of fish were you looking to be at the top?
I was reading some other peoples post and came across this african butterflyfish, and they look really nice so i was thininking 2 or 3 of those at the top, along with some leaf fish in the middle (most likely 1 or 2). I also looked up various bichir breeds; could you fit a Senegal and a Delhezi along with these or not?
Really?? I thought 2 was pushing it but I guess not, and is there any threads you know of that list all of the "upper jawed" ones?

How do you think 1 albino sen, 1 delhezi, and 1 buttikoferi sound? Would they be for life or is an upgrade necessary?
Honestly in my opinion u could prob keep a cb ornate for life in there as well if ya wanted cause most cb ones don't have good genes anymore they won't hit the 20" mark and if they do it would take many many years
