Hello all.
I need some help about Electric Blue African Cichlids. I have been offered some of these and i dont know anything about them. I was wondering if i could put Angel fish, Guromis (sorry cant spell lol) Silver Dollars, Sharks and the African Cichlids together or not.? or any other kind of aggressive fish. Are they hard to take care of and are they real hardy fish aswell. Here is 2 pictures just to make sure there what i say im not sure it was what i was told thats what they were.

Sorry aswell how big will they grow and what size tank should i have for them i mean for there full size as i cant get any bigger tank then either 55 gallon or 90 gallon but was perferably wanting 90 gallon for my community fish. Please need alot of help. What kind of stuff ( gravel, plants etc do i need aswell) was hoping to get away with silk plants but not sure there.

Do not mix African and South American fish ...different needs, different water requirements.

The one's in the pictures, the vast majority are Mbunas, I see two different species. Better research your African Cichlids first and put a setup together for them, instead of just getting free fish of someone. They are a little more demanding than "water and food".

Yeah i am with Marius do not mix different continent species together way different needs these guys have..

Also you stated that some of the angels, sharks, silver dollars and gourami's are aggressive yes that is true but only true to each other an Angel, silver dollar, gourami's and sharks will not be able to handle the Mbuna aggression..

Most Africans are really aggressive..

I was told that the grey ones are Electric Blue juvaniels. Ok what are some other African fish i can put with The Electric Blue African Cichlids?

First, what tank are they going into?
They are haplochromines of Lake Malawi, Sciaenochromis Ahli, or Fryeri (depending on the variant) and they can go with other small/medium haps or Aulonocara (peacocks) species. Depending on the size of your tank I can make some more suggestions, but until then, well, I'll leave it at this.

Yes... its important to not mix the two...

But sadly.. and this is very bad.. i'm guilty as a fish keeper... I have two african cichlid that are mixed with south american fish...

I was trying to breed my Banga Peacock cichlid.. but sadly... they were the same sexes.. and they keep fighting as well.. they are in two diff tanks.. and to this day.. i have no bother to go back to finding any more africans.. I actually avoid it all together..

But going back topic... Electric Blue African or any african in general.. requires 8.3ph i think? I recall reading about them early on my fish keeping....
