Going to do either a 30 gal. cube, or a 38 gal. cube for an office Nano.

I have an older Amiricle wet/dry rated for a 55, older Mag 7 or Rio 2100 for return. Need skimmer suggestions....

I would like to know which tank to do for basically shrooms, leather(s),and polyps, maybe a fish or two down the road since the office will be a nursery in a 2 years and junior(and mom probably) is going to want a nemo.

The 38 is 24" deep and the 30 a little shorter. Lighting will be a Quad 96 watt PC and probably a single 28 watt PC strip plus lunars. does the 2-4" difference in height make any difference for lighting or stock? The price for the 30 is about half the cost of the 38, but I like the 38's dimmensions.

Thanks,

Do you use the Tunze line of skimmers?

I like the one in the link, but it doesn't say it is able to use in a sump. I'm assuming it can be used in the sump. I hope so as to keep the tank free of equipment, minus the overflow box.

you can use it in sump as a hang on it there I believe it is just a hang on haven't used this one forever

i would go with the 30 since its cheaper and your lights will be brighter. will be fine for what you want. height isnt necessarily a good thing.
