Noticed my p14 has not eaten much when i fed him yesterday. today i dropped food all my other rays went for the food but he just ignored the food.
i tested the water ph and it was already quite low (4.5). i did a 80% water change and dosed with prime.
I have missed my waster change for this week, but all my other tanks ph have also dropped quite low, not sure if it has anything to do with rain as i'm thinking rainy season might be here already. i tested now and my ph is back to 7.5 . any other thing which i can do to help him recover?

also they should be due for their deworming as it was 6 months ago since i treated them with prazi. will it be a good idea to treat with prazi now?

Wow ph 4.5 is dangerously low. Ph fluctuation that much can be lethal for your fishes. You should def add something to keep the ph steady all the time like crushed coral

Thanks yup when i checked the basket of crushed corals it was all consumed already. Need to add crished corals
To all my tank again. Lost one ntt in another tank due to extremely low ph too.

Not sure if its because of rainy season , but our tap
Water. Normally is soft with ph of 7.

Btw anything else i can di besides correct the ph for my ray to help him recover?

Clean water is the key to success with rays. Proper filtration and big waterchanges.

Tell me bout it. I change prob around 1800L twice a week for my rays and big peacocks.

yup i usually do 30% wc on my 350 Gallon tank twice a week, but have cut bank on water changes as we were having water shortage here due to El Nino, but i think its rainy season now:) I'll go back to more water changes :)

30% are imo not enough. Whats your parameters?

its been a while since i checked nitrate level , i only keep an eye on PH and Ammonia.
I'll try to find my test kit. i have a drip systejm ready. will try to get it going this weekend.

when the ph was too low i made 70+ % wc.
btw 30% is 30-40% every other day :D

Well nitrate are quite important to have in check since its because nitrate we change water. With established filtration you should never see ammonia or nitrite.
